Be Someone to Look Up To
At YWCA, we believe in the power of mentoring in the life of a child. If you enjoy young people, consider applying to one of our turning point programs for children and youth.
Other Opportunities
Women of Distinction
Serve on a planning committee or help on the night of the gala. This is your opportunity to work with a team to honour the achievements of Regina women while raising funds for YWCA's work in the community. Call Linda at 525-2141 ext. 110.
Event Coordinator
If you're an organizer who loves to plan the party, this might be the job for you! We need people to join our team to create top-notch special events to promote the Big Sisters program and show appreciation to our dedicated mentors. 525-2141 ext. 132
Activities Coordinator
Our women's recreational program is based in understanding that relaxing and being with others is part of healing for women who have experienced abuse. Women meet in the evening for a variety of recreational activities. We look for volunteers with an inclusive approach to planning and leadership so that this program can be largely directed and led by the participants. This is an opportunity to be an encourager and pull together the ideas and skills of the group. 525-2141 ext. 132
Shelter Childcare
With moms in crisis and uprooted from home, children in shelter need someone to show extra caring. By participating in activities with the children, you give moms a chance to take a break or attend appointments, and kids a chance to have fun . . . like kids should.
