10th Annual Soul Sisters, May 31

The Tenth Annual Soul Sisters Dinner and Concert, presented by The Room, takes place on Thursday, May 31, 2012, 6 p.m.--and for the fourth year running will be held at Regina's Bushwakker Brewing Company. The ticket price of $30 includes entertainment, a burger, and a beer.

Revenue from the evening supports YWCA programs for women and children, including My Aunt’s Place homeless shelter, the Isabel Johnson Shelter, and programs for young women, like Big Sisters, GirlSpace, and the Power of Being a Girl conference. Last year's benefit raised a total of approximately $7000 from admission tickets, raffle proceeds, 50-50s, a silent auction, and individual donations.

Soul Sisters would not happen without the vision and hard work of Shelley Hoffman and her staff at The Room. For 25 years, they have been sponsoring fund raising events to support Regina women and children.
